I’m not sure why education is taking so long to make changes, but I am glad to see that Dr. H. gave me an insight in his COVA eBOOK on how to help educators build a significant learning environment. This eBOOK provides us with a voice to own ownership and learns something that we can use in our classroom. Some things are still the same at our schools because it is easy for the education department to control how we think and learn. But time is changing, and with increasing digital learning content, our educators should focus on new learning models. In today’s society, students work better if we give them real-world problems and take ownership of their learning. Students should be prepared to be adaptive, flexible, and innovative.
The new model emphasizes focusing on the individual learner within a social setting. We make connections between school material and real-life situations to simplify the learning process for our students.
As a teacher at a charter school, our system already has the material printed up for us to transfer to paper and prepare them for the test. They aren’t even ready for the test because these students need help to guide them deeper in their learning ability.
Dr. H. presented seven practical and easy-to-follow steps to achieve the CSLE+COVA model. I will use it as part of my pilot project to implement a blended learning model in my 3rd-grade math class.
