Building a Growth Mindset

EDLD 5302 has taught me the importance of building a growth mindset. As a teacher, I have to change my attitude to succeed in my career and innovation plan. In addition, I must share my passion for teaching to show others that I am very passionate about blended learning and ensuring that our students receive the best education for their learning needs. To grow as a professional educator, I need to network with others in the same field and learn from them. Learning is a continuous journey that lasts forever. I have a choice in my learning, and I learned to take ownership of it. Building relationships and learning from others will bring out my best teaching abilities and help me accomplish my teaching goals.

My Growth Mindset Plan focuses on introducing the fundamental ideas presented by Dr. Dweck as I support and develop a growth mindset in me and others within the organization. My plan will focus on helping me alongside others in the organization develop a growth mindset by focusing on five steps: picking complex tasks, setting high standards, discouraging stack ranking, leading practices with a growth mindset, and considering receiving feedback. Every learner has the right to an education of the highest quality.  I am passionate about learning and teaching. I believe students must strive to be the best they can be. Take a look at my learning manifesto and see what drives me to be the best teacher for my students.

Professional learning networks are an essential tool people can use to stay connected and exchange knowledge and ideas. I was able to join some inspirational, educational groups to build on my learning as a teacher. Let's look at my learning networks to see how these groups help me make academic connections and continuous learning.

I need to document my learning journey. I have participated in several blogs and read learning material to help me become a better teacher.
