My Learning Networks

Professional learning networks are an essential tool people can use to stay connected and exchange knowledge and ideas. Learners in different professional networks experience career-wise and personal life growth through sharing insights, feedback, new business opportunities, and contacts (Brown et al., 2020). I have joined learning, education, and training professional groups and black women in STEM learning networks in LinkedIn that have assisted me in learning new tools, news, updates, and trends to advance my knowledge in my field. Since joining these professional learning networks, I have developed a strong sense of belonging, motivation, and support through the different learning programs offered.

EDU professional group enables learners to stay connected and updated with modern and effective learning approaches and emerging and current network technologies through the large pool of excellent presenters one interacts with online (EDU Learning,2022). I have received several opportunities to get real-world experiences in my chosen field.

I have used the knowledge gained in class to share ideas and offer insights to solve different problems presented on this platform. I do not mind not being experienced or an expert in different issues discussed. I have developed a mindset that has enabled me to be part of the highly qualified team to collaborate and solve problems that drive a positive change in society. STEM allows students to keep up with the ever-evolving world's pace through sustainability literacy, connections, and information evaluation (Linkedin,2022). STEM has taught me to find appropriate solutions to ensure sustainable development vital for social and economic progress.

These professional learning networks have nurtured me into becoming an independent and successful member of society. The interactive learning activities have helped me improve teamwork and communication skills essential for succeeding in a business-oriented environment, regardless of which path I would take after school.
