Blended Learning Innovation Plan

As a 3rd grade teacher, the most common problem I face daily with my students is the lack of blended learning. Covid 19 has opened my eyes to the true meaning of blended learning. Since students have returned to school, they have expressed how they want to use their technologies more in class because they struggled to use them during the pandemic.

As a school that strives for student excellence, it is vital to require that teachers create and maintain a blended learning environment, which would give the students a chance to enhance their educational experience through technology. 

​

Throughout my journey in education and as a teacher, I have found that students grow and flourish when you provide them with more than one delivery method. I have also observed as a teacher that the use of technology with effective blended learning models has given back students' learning motivation, better preparation and feedback, and more engagement. 

​

When provided with the opportunity to create an innovation plan to enhance the learning experience, I knew I wanted to discuss blended learning with my organization. I had to explain why it is necessary to bring blended learning to my organization. So, this led me to propose an Innovation Plan to my Principal.       

 

In my Literature Review, I aimed to provide data that supports Blended Learning. It helps to provide the foundation of knowledge on blended learning to justify my innovation plan. There is extensive evidence done through articles, books, and online sources. Blended learning has many great opportunities it can bring to Harmony's students.

After innovation, follows implementation. In my Implementation Outline, I lay out a structured plan to get Harmony on a timeline of implementing blended learning in our classrooms. This outline will help us to achieve our academic goals for our students. Blended learning will be in our classes in no time!                                                

 

 

 

The students at Harmony have faced hardships and various academic setbacks. I want to help them change their learning experience by equipping teachers with blended learning professional development training. There is no reason that our students cannot strive and flourish despite their setbacks. Bringing blended learning to the classrooms will prepare them to be independent learners, technology proficient, and ready for the world.
