EDLD 5317: Resources Digital Environment

Computer Class

This course has taught me how to write an article for publication in the education field. Blended Learning has always been my focus since I started this EDLD program. My innovation plan discusses the importance of building a blended learning culture in elementary classrooms. My students are very important to me and I know that as a teacher I need to use any available learning methods and tools to give them the best education possible. As part of this course, I had to understand what are the requirements needed to write an article for publication. So, I found three publications websites and begin to follow their instructions for submission. I built out a publication outline.

After building out my publication outline, it was time for me to write a rough draft. When writing my rough draft, I had to align it with the kind of leader I am in advocating for Blended Learning. As a thought leader, the primary conceptual process includes prediction, a critical aspect that would facilitate the positioning of digital tools for blended learning. Integrating Blended Learning rotation and individual classroom models within an elementary environment steers a confirmatory status in the predictive feature.

I support Blended learning and have explained its need in our elementary classroom learning environment, curriculum, and culture.

Next, it was time to get feedback from my peers and instructor. I was able to work with three wonderful peers who rated my work and gave me some important feedback. This feedback can be found in my rough draft with peer review. I took my peers feedback very seriously and made the necessary changes

Video Personality

In order for me to get others to support my passion for building a Blended Learning culture in the classroom, I needed to create a long discussion media project to discuss Blended Learning. My media project is called Building a Blended Learning Culture in Elementary classrooms. In this segment, I talked about the key points:

  • My passion for blended learning

  • What is blended learning

  • How blended learning looks in a classroom

  • Data from using blended learning

  • Education Field track to achieving blended learning

After completing my long discussion, it was time for me to go back to my rough draft and create my final publication draft for the three publication websites I chose at the beginning of the course. I made all necessary changes suggested by my peers and instructor from the rough draft peer review assignment. I have submitted my article to the publication websites but have not received any response back as of now.

This course has shown me that I have a voice in speaking about Blended Learning. I have seen the benefits of using Blended Learning. I have also discussed with my peers, other teachers, and done plenty of research to give data evidence that Blended Learning works. As I mentioned before, Blended Learning does more than help students close gaps in their learning. It boosts their confidence as well. I support blended learning and have explained its need in our elementary classroom learning environment, curriculum, and culture.
