  • What is the topic of your article?

The subject of my Action Research Plan is to see the effectiveness of using a blended learning rotation and individual classroom model within an elementary classroom (K-6th grade).

  • Where do you plan to submit (consider 2-3 options)

I plan to submit to the TxDLA Journal of Digital Learning and Learning and Individual Differences Journal (LIDJ)

  • TxDLA Journal of Digital Learning- Anyone may submit an original article to be considered for publication in the TxDLA Journal of Digital Learning, provided they own the copyright to the work being offered or are authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article.

  • Learning and Individual Differences Journal (LIDJ)-Submission to this journal proceeds online, and you will be guided stepwise through creating and uploading your files. The system automatically converts your files to a single PDF file used in the peer-review process.

  • What is the connection to your innovation plan or initiative?

The connection to my innovation plan is that this action research will spark the original goal of using a blended learning rotation and individual classroom model within an elementary classroom. My innovation plan is to get my K-6th teachers and students in the culture of using blended learning as an everyday teaching style. The action research can help me provide scholarly evidence of the positive outcomes that can take place in our classrooms if we decide to proceed with the full implementation of blended learning rotation and individual classroom models within an elementary classroom.

  • How can this information help others?

This information can help others by giving them a new sense of urgency

regarding the current education structure. It will help teachers

relate to the idea of blended learning being effective in their classroom

and teaching styles for their student's academic success.

  • Lessons learned or hoped to learn?

The lesson of this research is to show that using a blended learning rotation and individual classroom model will increase teacher/student collaboration on different subject matters, increasing academic goals within an elementary classroom.

  • What digital resources will be included in your article? Briefly describe.

In my article, I will be using peer-reviewed articles in online academic journals, Google Scholar (online scholarly literature), National Center for Education Statistics, and actual testimony from K-6th teachers.

  • Think of your audience, digital presence, and the message you hope to communicate.

I hope to identify if a blended learning curriculum improves the academic confidence of K-6th students and teachers. I hope to get the message to teachers that they can provide the educational skills required to build a successful student-centered curriculum with the blended learning rotation and individual model.
