5303 Contributions to the Learning Environment

To say that this has been an easy journey would be an understatement. I have had to deal with health issues concerning my dad, my asthma, lesson plans, training with the school, and the list goes on to make sure every assignment was turned in on time. But I never doubted myself in getting it done. As each week went by, my ideas came together, and I enjoyed what I was seeing on my e-portfolio.

Glows: E-Portfolio Design and Development (EDLD5303)

• I spent hours learning and developing my page through Wix.com.

• I learned a skill I had never known, and I developed a professional product that I had never materialized.

Grows: Literature Review (EDLD5305)

• I had never written a literature review before, and getting started was the most challenging part, so I should have asked for assistance the minute the assignment was listed.

• Synthesizing ideas and making connections to stay on point was the primary key that Dr. H kept telling me.

• Be confident in everything you do.

• Never be afraid to ask for help.

Revisions

I made revisions based on Dr. H. feedback that included:

• Correcting the grammar and spell check in my Literature Review.

• Removing the thesis statement in my Literature Review.

Supporting Contributions

I participated in all of the discussions and provided words of encouragement to a few classmates on starting their E-portfolio. In the future, I want to make sure I read more of my classmates' posts and comment more because I welcome and appreciate that when feedback is given to me.

My two most significant challenges this term would be the reading material and collaborating with a group. I make no excuses for not finding a group. There are so much content, resources, and examples to be covered in a short amount of time. Once I finished one reading or assignment, it felt like another was due right after. I'm nervous but ready to see what will happen in the following two classes. This program is a personal goal for me because I promised my dad, and I plan to keep that promise to him.
