Influencer Strategy

Influencer Strategy - Building a Blended Learning Culture
Change is not always a bad thing. People have the wrong perspective of change because it makes them do something out of their norms. However, as discussed in my innovation plan, we need this change to help our students. Influencer: The New Science of Leading Change (Granny et al., 2013) points out six sources of Influence vital to bringing forth change within our organization. The six sources of Influence include personal motivation, personal ability, social motivation, social ability, structural motivation, and structural ability (Granny et al., 2013). I know change will take time and patience, but it is vital to our students to provide them with a blended learning environment and make this a culture in our school. To start the implementation at our organization, an influencer strategy is required to bring about change in our organization.

Vital behaviors and leadership influences are essential for organizational growth. Influence and motivation require more than appealing to the heartstrings of individuals. The influencer strategy will help address the results wanted to achieve our goal. The key to this plan is to change behaviors and make them a routine in the classroom. To ensure the success of my innovation plan, I need to influence my behaviors in the right direction. I will use the six sources of Influence that I will evaluate to ensure they help me get the desired outcome and meet my performance expectations in the organization. The main result I want to achieve is to build a culture for blended learning in the classrooms, with my employees being the leading organizational Influencers. In conclusion, it is impossible to generate change without the support and collaboration of corporate influencers.

My four strategies to identifying my vital behaviors are:
-
Notice the obvious: Our teachers use technology to teach students every day but are we giving our students the best learning style approach for each one of them while using a digital device. We build a blended learning culture environment that will engage students academically and personally.
-
Look for crucial moments: Even though the curriculum committee reviews specific classroom learning plans, they sometimes do not look at students' feedback on their learning experience. This is very necessary that the department responsible for curriculum listen to the individuals who are learning the material. A lousy learning environment could ruin a student's ability to learn.
-
Learn from positive deviants: Teachers have been eager to help with piloting blended learning approaches in their classrooms. Teachers have to find the "why" they are passionate about when it comes to teaching. With the support of the teachers, the administrators are aware of the desire for the school to build a blended learning culture.
-
Spot culture busters: When COVID-19 hit our schools, and we had to go remote, many students struggled academically and personally. Teachers and students used alien technology within their learning experiences. Our staff and students now have laptops and access to their work 24/7. COVID-19 made us realize that we were not using our technology effectively with students' learning experiences. Blended learning has become a top priority when it comes to the classroom learning approach. Professional development training has been put in place for teachers to do blended learning training and person on the job training if needed. Teachers are recognized and rewarded for effective blended learning with their students. The old culture is making progress in building the desired blended learning culture.
